The EU packaging regulation, (EU) 2025/40, requires every bottle placed on the EU market to identify its packaging manufacturer. PinotQR shows these details on your e-label, so your QR code takes care of it — including on bottles you've already printed.
You set the details once in your brand settings, and they become the default for that brand's e-labels. Each e-label keeps its own copy, which you can change for that wine alone.
💡 Not sure whose details to enter? For most wineries it's the winery itself, but not always. Our packaging manufacturer guide explains who counts as the packaging manufacturer, and what still needs to be printed on the bottle.
Set your brand's default
- Open the brand and click Settings.
- Scroll down to Packaging, or click Packaging in the menu beside the form.
- Under Packaging manufacturer, fill in:
- Name — your name, registered trade name, or registered trademark.
- Postal address — a single, full address where you can be contacted. Start typing and choose your address from the suggestions, or type it out in full.
- Email address — we recommend your main contact email address. You can use your business website address instead, starting with
https://.
- If you'd like your existing e-labels to use these details too, tick Update all existing e-labels.
- Click Save changes.
New e-labels will be pre-filled with your brand's details.
Change the details for one wine
If one wine has a different packaging manufacturer — for example, a private-label wine made for a retailer — change its details on that e-label alone.
- Open the e-label and click Edit.
- Scroll down to Packaging, or click Packaging in the menu beside the form.
- Under Packaging manufacturer, change the Name, Postal address, or Email address.
- Click Save changes.
This changes this e-label only. Your brand's default, and your other e-labels, stay as they are.
How it appears on your e-label
If your e-label has recycling information, the packaging manufacturer details appear at the top of its Recycling section. If it doesn't, they get a section of their own, headed Packaging manufacturer.
Only the fields you've filled in are shown, exactly as you typed them, in every language.
